Fire Facilities Levy

In November 2016, Bellevue voters approved levies to fund a long list of capital projects needed to better serve the community. The City Council voted in July to place the measures on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Levy for Fire Facilities (Proposition No. 1)

City policies prioritize the ability to provide critical services to the community through continuous fire and emergency operations during earthquakes, power outages and other emergencies. The Fire Department has 10 facilities to maintain, each with unique and special conditions required to operate them 24 hours per day.

In 2014, at the City Council's request, the Fire Department developed a master plan to address deficiencies in its fire facilities. The proposed measure, approved by the council on July 25, 2016, for the Nov. 8 ballot, would fund many projects in the master plan.
