Deputy Chief Todd Dickerboom

Interim Fire Chief Todd DickerboomDeputy Chief Dickerboom has served in the Bellevue Fire Department since 1985. Chief Dickerboom's passion for the department led him to serve as the department's public information officer for four-and-a-half years.  Since that time Deputy Chief Dickerboom has served in various capacities including station captain, battalion chief of A Platoon and deputy chief of the bureau of support services, which oversees the training division and supply and maintenance division.  

 Deputy Chief Dickerboom was appointed as interim fire chief in September 2017. He remained in this role until June 2018 when Fire Chief Jay Hagen was hired.

Deputy Chief Adolfson has been in the fire service since 1981, serving with four other fire agencies prior to becoming a Bellevue firefighter in 1988, completing paramedic training in 1991 and successfully promoting through the ranks.  During his tenure, and outside of his normal duties, he has served as an educator, policy maker and interagency liaison with regional fire and police agencies. Deputy Chief Adolfson's philosophy is to continually seek to improve the delivery of services to the communities his organization serves by using proven concepts but also being open to innovative ideas. Chief Adolfson currently serves as the Deputy Chief of our operations bureau.
