Charitable Donations

The Bellevue Fire Department partners with two non-profit organizations to benefit the residents of its service area - Somerset Women for Medic 1 and the Bellevue Firefighters Community Support Foundation:

Bellevue Firefighters Community Support Foundation (BFCSF)

The BFCSF is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization founded in 1999 by members of the Bellevue Fire Department to help those in need. The foundation holds an annual drive to collect food and toys during the holidays and performs other outreach with area children coordinating activities with Youth Eastside Services (YES) and Hopelink.

The BFCSF also helps support firefighters and their families in times of need as well as the Bellevue Fire Honor Guard, a highly regarded group of volunteers who perform flag ceremonies all over Washington and Oregon. Contributions, which are tax deductible, can be directed to the BFCSF at the Fire Department's address. For more information you can visit the Bellevue Firefighters Community Support Foundation website.

Somerset Women for Medic One

In 1974 a group of women from the Somerset neighborhood decided to give the proceeds of bridge tournament games to the then new Bellevue Medic 1. Today,this group continues to volunteer their time and energies to support Bellevue’s Medic 1 program. Somerset Women for Medic 1 accepts tax-deductible donations in support of medical training and supplies that directly benefit the Bellevue Fire Department Medic One service area.  Donations received have been used to support the Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training program, DUI Prom Night Drills offered to area high schools, and purchase equipment.

The group holds fundraisers and handles donations and memorial contributions sent to the Bellevue Fire Department.  For inquiries, please see contact information provided.
