Bellevue Fire Training Center
Constructed in 1983, the Bellevue Public Training Center is a joint training facility used by the Bellevue Fire Department and Bellevue Police Department. In addition to serving the training needs of Bellevue firefighters and police officers, the facility is regularly used to host specialized public safety training and enhance the operational readiness and coordination between local and regional partners.

Our Training Division works closely with eight other local agencies [Bothell, Eastside, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Northshore, Redmond, Shoreline and Woodinville Fire Departments], as a member of the East Metro Training Group (EMTG). The purpose of the EMTG is to promote and improve training excellence and safety through inter-agency cooperation.  This is accomplished by conducting joint recruit firefighter academies, developing and conducting multi-company drills and hosting tactics and Chief Officer training throughout the year.
