Citizen Corps Council

The Citizen Corps Council (CCC) is a federal program coordinated by the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Its purpose is to bring together volunteers, city staff, and stakeholders to create strategies for outreach, as well as report information to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). CCC members also assist in administering the following programs:

  1. Map Your Neighborhood (MYN), a state-sponsored program from Washington State Emergency Management Division. MYN's goal is to get homes in each neighborhood block to plan for and respond to emergencies together.
  2. Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), a federal program that trains citizens in basic disaster skills.
  3. Bellevue Communications Support (BCS)
