Bellevue Fire uses a third party vendor for testing, Public Safety Testing (PST), and it is very competitive process. Test scores will be pulled from the Public Safety Testing database and the applicants that applied for the City of Bellevue testing will be ranked and move forward for further assessment by the department. There is a fee associated with both the written test and the physical ability exam (CPAT). A wide array of test dates are provided in several different locations. Specific information is available on their website at www.publicsafetytesting.com .

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 18 years old at time of application

  • U.S. citizen

  • High School graduate/GED

  • Valid driver’s license (state of Washington required at time of hire​

  • The ability to read and speak the English language
